Opening Lecture: Maja Göpel

In her opening lecture at the Beethovenfest, economist, sociologist and expert on transformation and sustainability Maja Göpel talks about the extreme present. The festival motto ‘Alles ultra’ (Everything ultra) describes the overwhelming challenges posed by developments such as wars, AI and climate change. Göpel is optimistic: creativity and art can be used to shape change, and our values are crucial in this process.
