Since 2025, we have been supporting five exceptionally talented young artists each year with the support of the Romy Gohlke Foundation. These gifted classical musicians receive specialist training for a career in concert performance through coaching sessions, performance opportunities, chamber music and close involvement in the festival.
Beethovenfest Talents

»Beethovenfest Talents« is a support programme for classical musicians living in Europe. They are invited to participate in various events at Beethovenfest Bonn throughout the festival year. The programme was established by the Romy Gohlke Foundation, with whom it collaborates.
Thanks to generous funding, five young talents can receive an annual scholarship each year. They are selected through an outreach process in collaboration with the founders. The support programme runs for around ten months and consists of various working phases, during which the young musicians come together for rehearsals, workshops, and concerts.
A range of support programmes and mentorships give the Talents the opportunity to develop musically and personally. Workshops on topics such as career management, concert design and musicians’ health are offered. Renowned musicians who are also performing at Beethovenfest guide the Talents when preparing for their concerts.
As part of the annual festival, the Beethovenfest provides prominent performance opportunities for the Talents: each one presents their own recital, and there are also ensemble performances with line-ups ranging from duos to quintets.
