Eugenia Ottaviano is a founding member of the Alinde Quartet and, as a historical violinist, also a member of the VERITÀ Baroque ensemble. In 2010, she co-founded the Ida Bieler Music Academy, where she teaches a talented class of young violinists. A passionate teacher, she has given master classes in violin and chamber music at conservatories internationally and has been a jury member at several competitions. She has participated in chamber music festivals throughout Europe, including the Verbier Festival Academy, the Festival Quatuors a Bordeaux, the Festival d'Aix en Provence, the Aldeburg Residencies and the Mozartfest Würzburg. She has worked with artists such as András Schiff, Ferenc Rados, Gabor Takacs Nagy, Jörg Widmann, Arnold Steinhardt, Christoph Richter, Wolfgang Riehm and Erich Höbarth. Her teachers include Salvatore Accardo, Ida Bieler, Eberhard Feltz and Rainer Schmidt. Ottaviano plays a violin by François-Louis Piqué from 1790.
