Description
With her Lisa Batiashvili Foundation, the Georgian violinist wants to give something back to the young talents of her homeland. Together with three scholarship holders, including composer prodigy Tsotne Zedginidze, she presents chamber music in her residency finale. Another guest is her longstanding chamber music partner Mark Schumann.
The up-and-coming artists and their mentor are bringing along rarities, including an early piano quartet by Mendelssohn and music by Josef Bardanashvili – together with enduring hits like Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango.
