Description
Around 1802, Beethoven almost fell into despair about his progressive deafness – and yet found the strength to set out into new artistic territory. The second part of the Beethoven cycle features a meeting of the »Tempest« Sonata, Piano Concerto No. 1, and Symphony No. 2. Belgian Beethoven conductor and researcher Jan Caeyers, his orchestra Le Concert Olympique, and Kit Armstrong let us experience this time of crisis in the composer’s life.
