Post Classic Vertical – a concert event, where listeners decide spontaneously when and where to listen to what performance and music is enjoyed with a glass of wine over the rooftops of Bonn at sunset.
The Post Tower is a landmark in Bonn. The elegant skyscraper overlooking the Rhine, headquarter of Deutsche Post AG, is normally closed to the public. But for one evening, the visitors are allowed into the illustrious venue up to the 35th floor: At the concert event »Post Classic Vertical«, when our partner Deutsche Post generously opens its doors to Beethovenfest Bonn.
Concerts on the vertical plane
The name says it all: At Post Classic Vertical, the music is stacked vertically. The most diverse performances take place at several concerts simultaneously in a half-hour-interval on different levels of the Post Tower. Each act performs repeatedly; in between, there is enough time to discover the Post Tower, to talk to friends and to enjoy the view. Ideally this is done with drink and food in one of the comfortable seats, such as on the 12th floor at the Skygarden with astonishing views on Bonn and the Siebengebirge mountains.
Stylish concert venue without decorum
The rooms, lobbies and lounges in the Post Tower open up unconventional ways of listening to music. All visitors are welcome to walk between concerts, to move around or to have a conversation at a distance to the performers. However, when the boys of vision string quartet rock the stage, no one will want to turn their attention away! Their show with pop on stringed instruments at Post Classic Vertical 2022 made the crowd roar in the World Net Café, the lobby at ground level of the Post Tower.
Diverging sound worlds and new perspectives
Have you ever had the opportunity at a concert to compare a baroque trio of harpsichord, violin and viola da gamba with a classical piano trio of violin, piano and cello? Or jump within minutes from Claude Debussy to a folk set? This is possible at Post Classic Vertical, because at this evening we like to confront the unforseen and invite you to encounter old and new music. In the atmosphere of the Post Tower, amazing experiences may emerge!
