»You do not yet know whose child you are,
Who gives you these swaddling clothes,
Who watches over thee, and who she is,
Who warms and waters thee.«
- from: An einen Säugling, Song for Voice and Piano WoO 108 by Ludwig van Beethoven

The Beethovenfest concerts are open to everyone. Nevertheless, there are a few events that are more suitable for babies and toddlers than a long symphony concert without breaks. We even have very special offers for little people in the programme, made especially for them. Here come our recommendations:
The children's concerts in the Post Tower Lounge take place on Mondays at 3:30 pm and are specially designed for children. The concert chairs give way to seat cushions and the little guests are allowed to actively participate.

In addition to the big opening festival »Bühne frei für Beethoven«, which this year involved over 1,600 children and young people, we have two other events in the programme that are aimed at the whole family: Krümelmucke in the Endenich district festival and the play Weltenwandern in the festival headquarters.

Babies in normal concerts? Gladly.
Babies and toddlers are also welcome at all regular Festival concerts that are not specifically aimed at children and families. Here we particularly recommend the concerts in our festival headquarters Kreuzkirche. There is a free choice of seats, the space invites you to enjoy the concert with the whole family with lounges and various sheltered seating positions.
The district festival in Endenich on 10.9. or Post Klassik Vertikal in the Post Tower on 17.9. are also particularly suitable for children and families, as a change of concert halls is also part of the concept during the events.
Whatever you decide, we look forward to seeing you - and your babies too!
