Relaxed Performance – inclusive concert with individual seating, freedom to move around, and without the need for silence

The concert at a glance

What is a Relaxed Performance?

This inclusive concert welcomes everyone to listen to music in their own way. With individual seating, freedom of movement and no pressure to be quiet.

Relaxed Performances appeal to audiences who benefit from a relaxed concert atmosphere. People who make uncontrollable noises or movements, or who feel excluded by the strict conventions of performance spaces, can feel welcome here: for example, people on the autism spectrum, with Tourette’s, learning difficulties or chronic pain. They are also for anyone who feels more comfortable in a more inclusive environment.

Description

The three Fellowship artists come from very different musical worlds, but they are brought together by their curiosity and adventurousness. With bass trombone, cello, and a host of percussion instruments, they perform solo and together in our second Relaxed Performance. The result is an open and partly improvised evening.

The Fellowship Programme is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city of Bonn
