Rediscover music with a young and creative crowd.
Young Friends

Is Beethoven only for old, austere classical music fans? Not with us! The Young Friends of Beethovenfest Bonn is a community for anyone who enjoys good music, meeting new people, and having special experiences. Yes, Beethoven is our namesake, but this is not about dusty concert halls. It is a place where classical music meets the present, boundaries blur, and new ideas flourish.
Music lovers often seek out like-minded individuals with whom they can share their passion. The Young Friends offer exactly that: an open community that is curious, lively and diverse. All forms of music are welcome here, from classical symphonies and contemporary jazz to electronic beats and cross-genre experiments. Together, we attend concerts and festivals, experience culture first-hand and discover formats that breathe new life into the cultural scene.
However, the Young Friends’ Circle is more than just a platform for music. It is a place for encounters, exchange and friendships. In a relaxed atmosphere, new contacts, conversations and creative projects emerge. This way, music is not only heard, but experienced as a shared activity that transcends the concert hall and influences culture in Bonn. As a Young Friend, you will gain backstage insights into the Beethovenfest, learn how an international festival is organised, and get to know artists. You can also contribute your own ideas.
Circle of Friends – only for die-hard classical music fans?
Beethovenfest Bonn is a diverse festival. As well as major works by Beethoven and other composers, there is jazz, contemporary music, and innovative formats that transcend genre boundaries.
Are cultural associations elitist and stuffy?
The Young Friends prove that openness, closeness and community lie at the heart of what we do. We are united by our shared love of music!
A compulsory programme that is not much fun?
We are providing experiences that inspire and bring joy, from exclusive backstage access to relaxed evenings spent together.
You don’t have time for that?
The level of commitment is flexible. Even spending just one evening here can be a valuable experience!
The Young Friends of Beethovenfest Bonn offer the best of both worlds, combining the tradition and charisma of a major festival with the openness and energy of a young community. Join the Friends and experience culture from the inside, right in the middle of it!
Join us and rediscover Beethoven – young, creative and united.
