What is special about the concert?
In Fazıl Say’s hymn to the black earth, »Kara Toprak«, the sound of a Turkish saz (lute) is imitated: the strings of the piano are muted when the keys are struck with the hand.

Description
Nature – in this piano recital it is a world populated with nymphs, sirens and other forest beings. The piano music performed on this evening was inspired by the vivid imaginations of people, and their feelings and experiences at the sight of the miracle of nature. With works ranging from the Romantic age to the present day, Danae Dörken weaves a great paean to nature and to the beloved »Black Earth«.
