Description
At the grand orchestral final of the Telekom Beethoven Competition 2025, the three finalists take the stage together with the Beethoven Orchester Bonn. Under the baton of Oksana Lyniv, each of them performs a piano concerto by Ludwig van Beethoven. The exact works will be determined only after the semifinal round, based on the artistic profile and repertoire choices of the finalists.
The evening concludes with the official award ceremony: the 1st Prize (€ 50,000), 2nd Prize (€ 25,000), and 3rd Prize (€ 10,000) will be announced and presented to the winners. The competition reaches its climax in a moment of recognition, celebration and new beginnings: for three young artists now embarking on their international careers.
The following repertoire ist mandatory for candidates in the final:
Piano concertos by Ludwig van Beethoven
No.1 in C major, op. 15 AND No. 3 in C minor, op. 37
or
No. 2 in B flat major op. 19 AND No. 4 in G major op. 58
or
No. 5 in E flat major op. 73 AND Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major op. 61 (version for piano by Ludwig van Beethoven)
The jury will decide which work shall be performed in the final.
