Description
Momi Maiga hails from a vibrant tradition: as part of a Senegalese griot musician family, he was born surrounded by poetry and music. On the final evening performance of his Fellowship, he will present the songs from his first solo album YOON, which will be released in spring 2027, in an intimate setting. YOON is a deeply personal journey through the roots and future of the kora. The title, which means »path« in Mandinka and Wolof, reflects the spirit of the project: an intimate, searching music that moves between tradition and innovation, memory and discovery.
