Family Concert: Eeny, Meeny... Magic notes!

The little witch Baba Yaga is bored. She’s already tried out all the spells for the week and tidied up her little witch’s cottage. She’s eaten all her chocolate too, and she can’t be bothered to go mushroom picking. So, without further ado, she conjures up her old friend Cat. Cat is a keyboard wizard and is really good at magic – using sounds!

Now the two of them tell each other the most wonderful stories and reminisce about the pranks they’ve played together. Cat coaxes the most marvellous music from the grand piano. Every now and then, Baba Yaga accompanies her on the giant alto flute or the tiny piccolo – which creates a special glow.

All the children who happen to be watching the spectacle are, of course, welcome to join in. There is so much to discover and celebrate – until everyone gathers at the great gate and has to say goodbye to one another, until next time. Who knows, perhaps very soon...

»Eeny, Meeny... Magic notes!« is designed as a participatory concert for children aged around 4–7. The story tells Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition for piano in a completely different way.

Important information regarding admission:

Our festival hall has limited capacity. To enable as many children as possible to attend the concert, we will be issuing admission tickets on the day. We kindly ask families to keep the number of accompanying adults to a minimum, as the children are the focus of our programme. Should the concert hall be full, our playroom will be available for you to use at the same time. Thank you for your understanding!
