Finally arriving home at the Beethovenhalle! It doesn’t matter whether you prefer to check your jacket at the coat check or toss it over the nearest chair. The main thing is that the place is buzzing again. Photographer Nikita Teryoshin took a close look through his lens to show us what it looks like when a concert hall becomes Bonn’s new living room.
He is known for his distinctive visual language and his analytical eye for the absurdities and hidden details of everyday life: the passionate and renowned street photographer Nikita Teryoshin has turned his camera on the concerts during the Beethovenhalle’s opening week in December 2025. Commissioned by Beethovenfest, he doesn’t focus on the artists on stage, but instead seeks out the small gestures that reveal our arrival in a home. How do the people on and off stage occupy the space? Where do they settle in, how do they present themselves, how do they celebrate the return to Bonn’s musical home?
His photo series reads like a kaleidoscope of the city’s small moments and characters. Taken together, it forms a hidden-object scene of multicolored homecomings – ever-changing, individual, and communal. A visual panorama of our 2026 festival motto, »Home«!
