A chamber music concert where the audience stands up instead of sitting still: through dance and movement, they can experience listening in a whole new way. No dance experience is required – just curiosity and a willingness to engage with the music using your whole body.

Description
»What happens when the audience is no longer expected to sit still?« In this concert, the Czech choreographer and dancer (including with Sasha Waltz & Guests) Sara Opelts Koluch invites the audience to leave their seats and discover listening as a physical experience. Through choreographic prompts, participants are invited to experience live chamber music in motion. The concert creates a space in which dance becomes a form of listening – rather than a choreography that must be learnt or performed correctly. Accompanied by dance guides, simple choreographic prompts invite participants to move freely and become part of a shared experience. The concert marks the starting point of a research project that will culminate in Sara Opelts Koluch’s new fellowship project at the festival in September.
To ensure you can enjoy the experience to the full, we recommend wearing clothes you feel comfortable moving in, and leaving coats and large bags at the cloakroom before the performance.
