Description
Josefa Schmidt opens the Wednesday after-work concert series in the new Studio of the Beethovenhalle. The young pianist, one of this year’s Beethovenfest Talents, will be joined by her colleagues from the Avin Trio to present Mendelssohn’s captivating Piano Trio No. 2. She begins the hour-long concert with solo works by Ruth Schonthal, who fled Nazi Germany as a child and, after a long odyssey with her family, found a new home in the USA.
