With their unique ability to walk between the classical string quartet repertoire and their own compositions in genres such as folk, pop, rock, funk and minimal music, these four visionary artists are giving new impetus to the world of music. The musicians play the classical-romantic repertoire mainly by heart. With the notes only in their minds, they find interpretive freedom and greater intensity in concert.

The ensemble has performed at the Frick Collection in Manhattan, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Great and Small Hall of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and at all the major German-speaking festivals. They have performed in Australia, Denmark, France, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain and the USA.

The vision string quartet has held residencies at Beethovenfest Bonn and the Bodensee Festival. In the 2025/26 season, the ensemble will be in residence at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.

Exclusively bound to Warner Classics, the vision string quartet’s album »Spectrum« presents their own music from a range of genres outside of classical music. Their debut album »Memento«, featuring quartets by Mendelssohn and Schubert, was awarded the Opus Klassik prize for the best chamber music recording of the year. Two new albums are in the pipeline.
