Kit Armstrong und Jan Caeyers are coming to your school

A journey through Beethoven’s life in nine stages. Conductor Jan Caeyers and pianist Kit Armstrong have big plans: in a series of 3x3 concerts, they will juxtapose all of Beethoven’s symphonies and solo concertos, together with the orchestra Le Concert Olympique. The »Beethoven27« cycle begins at the Beethovenfest 2026 and concludes in 2027, the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death. Each of the nine concert programmes represents a creative phase in Beethoven’s life – we discover what it was like to be Beethoven at a particular moment in his life.

You can register your class for a school visit on 9 Sept 2026 in preparation for attending one of the three concerts in the Beethovenhalle.

All workshops are free of charge. Participating classes can purchase discounted concert tickets for €5 per pupil.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Dates for the school visits will be agreed with interested teachers.
