When I leave my house and go out
The sun kisses my face.
I am amazed. Life still pulsates in my heart,
a heartbeat.
I try to talk to you.
I wonder if we can connect heart to heart.
The weight of the earth tugs at their faces. Take their faces in your hands.
Take away the weight of the ancestors.
Their faces, their cheeks,
Their cheeks are heavy.
Our names have no meaning.
What do names do to us?
Look, whenever we forget who is behind the language, the pain multiplies.
Look how we forget that every day humanness grows and grows.

Lyrics

Sawa
I am looking for our lost days
We used to meet before the sunset and our hearts would awaken.
Mantra
My voice, my voice hides my thoughts and years of life
My colour, my colour is covered with dreams
Dreams protect the stories of my soul
Who am I? Say it, my soul! Lost, lost is my form
Misty is the day
My death, my death is before me
Touch me, embrace me, Death, friend.
Herzlicht
When my heart is full of light, my face awakens and in my eyes you see the bright landscape of my soul.
Flowers
Flowers by the roadside
Will there be a path to
Them when I visit them?
Flowers by the roadside
Flowers by the wayside
Will there be friendship
When I look at them?
Zeryab
Thoughts are awake at my door at night.
Every night I go and visit them.
My thoughts are my children.
Alone I sit here with secrets.
They protect me every time life tastes bitter.
I am the son of secrets.
Beit
The world has gone mad
Its madness is killing love
She is afraid of an olive tree And her fear closes hearts
A drunkard has forgotten himself
He no longer hears the voice of the heart
Tell him to wake himself up
He can still choose to do so
Our life is a gift
We remember life only after it has fallen asleep
Our life is a joy
Do not go to sleep without her, or you will wake up without peace
Do not destroy a house, Build a house
Get oil from the olive, play the oud, give me the nay
Long life to you, a drink of water to me
I don't want to be the one who buries you, I
want to be the one who is in love with your life.
Lullaby for Jasu
Outside the stars are red.
Here inside, my scared daughter sleeps. The thunder is loud.
He is coming to take our sleep away.
He wakes up death.
He steals my daughter and my son from me. But my voice embraces them in their sleep. In my voice they hear the stillness.
No thunder. No war.
Only peace.
Sleep.
La Résistance
That is my determination
I resolve to resist
The resistance not to let it all out
I don't want to feel it anymore
I want you to understand. Understand well
I don't want to feel it anymore
I want you to feel it.
Tout ce qui nous reste
Alone with the faint moonlight
My moon is silent and I am lonely here.
You want me to forget.
I want to give you some childhood instead of suffering.
A deep sigh. That is what remains behind
the white mountains.
All that remains is childhood.
Sukuni
My silence is the protector of my pain. My stillness opens my universes.
Secret of the wings
Open the door.
The key is hidden.
It is hidden in my vast soul.
Fly, all you birds.
Fly without fear.
Fly over the warming sunset.
Racines
I see you when you caress the ocean.
I see you in powerful light.
I feel you like joy in my blood,
it flows beyond life.
You give me the strength of the past.
Alone I would be weak and broken.
I needed you, before I was born.
Beyond life.
You roots!
I embrace you.
Beyond death you are strong.
I can see the law of my dreams flowing in you.
The mystery begins in my heart.
I am no longer afraid.
It is the voice that liberates happiness in the depth of my life.
You roots!
I embrace you.
Beyond death you are strong.
The law of my dreams that flows in you I can see. I want to come back. Again and again.
