Description
The Maxwell Quartet explores the connections between Philip Glass and traditional Celtic music: flowing and repetitive patterns can be found in both. Since their formation at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the four Scottish musicians have been blending folk and classical music in a unique way. They take turns performing Glass’s flowing compositions, Joseph Haydn’s crystal-clear music and traditional tunes from their own album.
