Das Beethovenfest ist zurück daheim

The Beethovenfest Show 2026 gave invited guests and the press a taste of the 2026 festival – fittingly, of course, »at home« in the Beethovenhalle.

An evening like a colourfully laid dining table, like a living room shelf brimming with diverse treasures, like a vibrant bedroom: The Beethovenfest Show 2026 has whetted the appetite for the festival, which celebrates home and belonging in the most diverse ways. The exclusive preview of the new season for selected festival guests, members of the Friends’ Association, representatives of sponsors and partners, and the press offered a very special sneak preview.

Turning the Beethovenhalle into the city’s living room is the mission of this year’s programme – because it is not only the artists and the festival that are returning home to the Beethovenhalle, but also the audience. Accordingly, on the eve of advance ticket sales on 30 April, the festival hosted a late-night TV show in the Beethovenhalle studio, featuring a »Wetten, dass…?«-style seating area, presented by Anja Backhaus.

The guests on the show: festival artists, such as pianist Kit Armstrong, the five young Beethovenfest Talents, and fellowship artists Martha Bijsma and Momi Maiga. And, of course, members of the festival team and the local community, including Mayor Guido Déus. Alongside live interviews and musical performances, numerous video clips were shown on the big screen. These featured, for example, artist-in-residence Lisa Batiashvili and the Quatuor Ébène ensemble. Field reporter Tessniem Kadiri broadcast live from the Beethovenhalle to Bonn’s city districts.

What remains: numerous enthusiastic visitors who, as one of them put it, »have really got in the mood for the festival«. The feeling that the festival family is growing ever closer together. And great anticipation for September!
