After beginning her training in classical ballet in Japan, Yurié Tsugawa continued her studies at the École Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower under the direction of Monique Loudières. She then collaborated with Sylvain Groud, now director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Roubaix, for the creation of the dance production »Cordes«.
Yurié Tsugawa later joined the French company Ballet Preljocaj in Aix-en-Provence, where she danced for nearly 10 years and performed major roles in Angelin Preljocaj’s repertoire, including »Romeo und Julia«, »Rite of Spring«, »La Fresque«, »Empty Moves« 1, 2 & 3, and »Snow White«.
Since 2017, she has been both a performer and artistic assistant for Yoann Bourgeois as well as for the Beaver Dam Company, directed by Edouard Hue.
