The Japanese pianist Yoko Kuwahara attended the renowned Toho High School of Music and studied at the Toho College of Music in Tokyo, graduating with distinction. In 2013, she continued her studies at the Lübeck University of Music, successfully completing her Master’s degree in 2016 and, upon completing her training, was awarded a Master of Music in Accompaniment in 2019.
As a concert pianist, she tours the stages in Japan, Korea, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Israel and Germany, performing both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. Since 2018, she has been pursuing a particular passion through her own concert series in Yamaguchi, Japan, in which she juxtaposes and combines European and Japanese music.
Since 2017, she has been an accompanist at the Lübeck University of Music, and since 2019 at the Rostock University of Music and Drama. In addition to this work, she is involved in numerous masterclasses across Europe. She frequently acts as a piano partner for recordings and at national and international competitions.
