As the first woman in this position, the Viennese Ursula Haselböck has held the post of artistic director of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern since 2020. Haselböck studied German, music management and a concert exam in violoncello in Vienna, Bologna and Krems an der Donau. Furthermore, she worked in the artistic operations office of the Grafenegg Festivals and as a dramaturg at the Konzerthaus Berlin. She lives with her family in Schwerin.
