Tabea Wink, born in 1998, is an internationally sought-after recorder player from Nuremberg. She has received numerous awards as a soloist: She won the Louis Spohr Music Promotion Prize and first prize at the International Tel Aviv Recorder Competition in the contemporary music category. From 2011 to 2018, she received first prizes at the Jugend musiziert German national competition every year. She was awarded scholarships from the German Music Competition 2025, which included admission to the German Music Council’s concert promotion scheme, as well as scholarships from TONALi and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
She has also won awards as a chamber musician: with her ensemble Barock_Plus, she won first prize at the Göttingen Handel Competition and entered the German Music Council’s concert promotion scheme upon a successful German Music Competition. With the Duo Energico, Tabea Wink won first prize at the ORDA Recorder Competition as well as the Royal Wind Music Prize.
In 2024, she completed her master’s degree with distinction at the Nuremberg University of Music under Jeremias Schwarzer and Maurice Steger. Prior to this, she studied with Annette Berryman at the Braunschweig Municipal Music School.
Tabea Wink has performed as a soloist with, among others, the Braunschweig State Orchestra, the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia, the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, the Israeli Barrocade, the Cieszyn Symphony Orchestra and the Göttingen Baroque Orchestra. In 2024, she recorded her debut CD with the pianist Pau Cladera-Marroig.
She has received funding from the Lyra Foundation, the Forberg-Schneider Foundation, Live Music Now Franken e. V., the Jugend musiziert Niedersachsen Foundation, the Michael Wagner Foundation and the Sparda-Bank Hannover Foundation’s Note um Note programme. She is also a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German National Academic Foundation).
