Susanne Beyer has been active for SPIEGEL since 1996, for 18 years as the culture editor, as well as head of the culture department. For four years, she was the vice editor-in-chief of the news magazine. Today, she is an author with the SPIEGEL-chief editorship. Susanne Beyer was a 2025 Fellow of the Thomas Mann House in Los Angeles.
