Sholto Kynoch is a renowned pianist who specialises in lied and chamber music. He has worked together with numerous leading singers of our time. Some of his most recent song recital evenings have led him into Wigmore Hall, to the Heidelberger Frühling, the Zeist International Lied Festival, the Festival LIFE Victoria, Leeds Song and the Queensland Art Song Festival, as well as many other well-known venues and festivals both nationally and internationally.

His extensive discography includes amongst others the first complete recording of the songs of Hugo Wolf, the last volume of which came out in 2023. In 2026, his album A Poet’s Love, recorded together with Helen Charlston, was released.

Sholto is founder and artistic director of the award-winning Oxford International Song Festival. In 2018, Sholto was named a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music as part of the RAM Honours.
