Shih-Wei Huang completed her piano studies at music schools in Philadelphia, Yale, Munich and Luzern. She has been a student of musicians such as Dieter Ammann, Matti Raekallio and Ruth Slenczynska.
Huang delivers performances that are both technically impeccable and emotionally captivating. She has been performing internationally since the age of 12 in many venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, and collaborated with major orchestras such as the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and the Warschauer Symphonie-Orchester.
In addition to her solo performances, Huang is committed to sharing her passion and knowledge, serving as a faculty member at the Zurich Conservatory (MKZ) and conducting masterclasses and mentoring young pianists. In 2020, she released a live CD, followed by a piano book titled »Musikreise« in 2022, showcasing her own compositions. In 2023, she released a studio CD highlighting two landmark compositions by Beethoven and Mussorgsky.
