Noemi Baumblatt works as a scenographer for dance, theatre, opera, film and exhibitions. Her interest lies in the interconnection of spaces, bodies and materials. She studied theatre, film and media studies at the Universität Wien and the Wiener Angewandte Bühnen- und Filmgestaltung. As a qualified theatre, film and media scholar, she has contributed dramaturgically to the projects of acquainted artists and ensembles.

Since 2016, she has been continuously active as a costume designer in the contemporary dance scene. This work needs an intuitive approach much more focused on material. For Noemi, that is the main appeal. In her freelance artistic work, she often develops accessible spaces and installations that explore the relationship of people, experience, emotion and space and trace internal processes of reflection at the same time. Since 2025, Noemi has been a member of the board of the Szenografie-Bund.  

She has collaborated­ several times already with Elsa Artmann and SANFTE ARBEIT.
