Nico Hartwig studied dance, singing and acting at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen and later on dance studies at the Zentrum für Zeitgenössischen Tanz Köln. Nico was engaged in numerous musical productions, for example at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, the Saarländisches Staatstheater, the Oper Bonn, the Theater St. Gallen and toured through China with »Elisabeth«. In 2020, Nico founded the NEO MUSICAL KOLLEKTIV, which develops postdramatic musicals. In 2026, the new pieces »Die Rheintöchter« and »CAESURAS« were performed for the first time at the Freies Werkstatt Theater Köln and the WEST OFF-Festival. Nico lives in Cologne and gives workshops about dance, voice and creative writing.
