Marija Tamkevičiūtė (*2000) is a cembalist and pianist born in Litauen. She was given first piano lessons in 2004 at the J. Karosas music school. In 2017, she received a full scholarship for the Chetham’s School of Music and one year later, she began her bachelor’s degree studies with the major piano at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. In July 2026, she finished her master’s with a major in cembalo. At this time, she is studying for another master’s degree with a major in basso continuo.
Tamkevičiūtė is the winner of several international competitions and received a stipend from the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum Salzburg as well as the Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer der Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar and the Deutschlandstipendium. As a soloist, she has performed in the Stoller Hall, the Biblioteca Joanina, the Wiener Saal as well as the Kurhaus Palanga, amongst others. In her function as a cembalist and pianist, she has been part of ensembles and orchestras like the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach, the Varna International Ballet & Orchestra as well as several Baroque ensembles.
