Leonie Reineke is an editor of new music at Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and a freelance author of cultural programmes for ARD and Deutschlandradio. She sits on the New Music Project Advisory Board of the Deutscher Musikrat (German Music Council) and regularly delivers training on broadcasting at music institutions, universities and art colleges. She planned and directed the »nano« festival for contemporary music in Essen in 2015, 2016 and 2020. She has served on various juries, including those for the Fonds Experimentelles Musiktheater, the Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, and the Berlin Cultural Administration. In 2017, she was awarded the Folkwang Prize in musicology, and in 2018, she received the Reinhard Schulz Prize for contemporary music journalism.
