The singer and composer Lena-Larissa Senge (*1993) studied jazz singing and vocal pedagogy at the Institut für Musik der Hochschule Osnabrück as well as the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. During her bachelor’s, Senge founded the quintet Lariza and became a member of the trio Luah, together with whom she was awarded the Deutscher Jazzpreis in the category »Album Vokal des Jahres« in 2023 for the album »Movimento«. Since her university days, she has been composing and arranging for Lariza and Luah as well as other projects and is part of different pop and jazz ensembles.
In Cologne, Senge works as a singing teacher for popular music, as band leader for adult jazz bands at the Offene Jazz Haus Schule, and organises music projects for children and teenagers with the Netzwerk Musikvermittlung. Since 2023, Lena Senge has been teaching jazz and pop singing and choir at the Glen Buschmann Jazz Akademie at Dortmund.MUSIK. Within her artistic pedagogical profession, she occupies herself with the live composition method »Soundpainting«, for example, and offers workshops around the topics body and voice, circle singing and improvisation together with the collective KUS. For Life after Love (SANFTE ARBEIT), Senge is active as choirmaster.
