As a multidisciplinary artist and part of the Dereal Studio, Karim Hegazy, better known as KimoSlice, works with abstract narratives that invite the audience on a journey into other worlds through the interaction of visual and auditory media.
In his artistic works, he works with CRT installations and projection mapping. He invites us to explore the dynamic relationship between art and technology, which in the past and present merge into a play of the senses. The focus on different media allows him to make his content visually appealing, creating a multimedia bed.
He does not use an obvious form of storytelling in his works, but clues and references can be found by others. With the help of these, each person can create their own story. In most cases, his works are composed of sampled material, different structures and colours. For him, memories are reflected in all of this.
