George Fletcher Warren is an organist, pianist and improviser with international concert activity. As a soloist, he gives concerts Europe-wide and can regularly be heard in important concert venues and churches. Performances have led him to the Berliner Philharmonie and Kölner Philharmonie amongst others, as well as in renowned sacred spaces like the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool and the Saint-Ouen Abbey in Rouen. Radio productions with him have been broadcasted by WDR 3 and BBC Radio 3.

Born in Durham, he received a comprehensive musical education from a young age. He was accepted into the renowned Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester, where he finished his studies with the LRSM diploma (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music) in the subject organ literature performance. In 2015, he continued his education in Germany and began artistic studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. He graduated with honours.

Today, George Fletcher Warren is the organist of the Kuhn-organ in the Basilika St. Kunibert in Cologne, as well as curator of the organ in the WDR Funkhaus Köln. Apart from the classical organ and piano repertoire, he has devoted himself to contemporary music and performs regularly at premières, which he has also integrated into his recordings. Warren has worked with well-known ensembles, for example the WDR Rundfunkchor, the WDR Sinfonieorchester and the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln.

 A special focus of his artistic work is improvisation. On organ, piano and synthesizer he combines great stylistic ease with spontaneous sound fantasy. From this, innovative concert formats are created, as well as improvised song evenings in cooperation with singers as well as cross-genre projects and workshops.
