Israeli-born pianist Eylam Keshet has established himself as a versatile and compelling artist on both modern and historical instruments. An avid chamber musician, he performs internationally as part of a longstanding clarinet-piano duo with clarinettist Jonathan Leibovitz. Together they have appeared at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte. A highlight in 2026 is a debut at Wigmore Hall. He has also performed at the Ravinia Festival’s Steans Music Institute and the Festival Internacional de Música Pau Casals del Vendrell.
As a soloist, Keshet has performed with the Kammerorchester Basel, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra, and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra. His recording of Domenico Scarlatti keyboard sonatas for Naxos Records was praised by ClassicsToday as one of the jewels in the label’s Scarlatti cycle.
He has participated in masterclasses with Leon Fleisher, Murray Perahia, András Schiff, Menahem Pressler, Dmitri Bashkirov, Sergey Babayan, and Robert Levin, among others.
Keshet has received awards from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Buchmann-Heiman Foundation, the Rita Zimmermann Musik-Stiftung, and the Stiftung Melinda Esterházy de Galantha, among others, and has given masterclasses at various music universities. Based in Basel, he has served as assistant to chamber music professor Anton Kernjak at the Hochschule für Musik Basel.
Keshet holds a Bachelor of Music from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, a Master of Music from the Yale School of Music, and two Master’s degrees from the Hochschule für Musik Basel – in Musical Performance and in Music Pedagogy. His principal teachers have included Asaf Zohar, Hung-Kuan Chen, and Claudio Martinez Mehner. Studies in fortepiano with Edoardo Torbianelli at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis complement his dedication to historically informed performance.
