Elena Langer’s music is familiar to audiences across Europe, America and Asia through her operatic, chamber and orchestral pieces. Her operas include Figaro Gets a Divorce, which audiences could see at the Welsh National Opera, the Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Royal Swedish Opera, as well as Rhondda Rips It Up!, which was performed at the Welsh National Opera and on tour. The new opera To Die For recently premiered at the Nederlandse Reisopera, and is coming to the English National Opera in November. Langer’s recent cantata The Dong with a Luminous Nose was performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Boston Symphony. Landscape With Three People, a CD of her vocal and chamber pieces, was released by Harmonia Mundi. Fabulous Beasts, a cycle of songs, was premiered by Hugh Cutting at the Wigmore Hall. 

Highlights of the 2026/27 season include a new production of the comic opera Four Sisters at Covent Garden, Linbury Theatre, a revival of her Ariadne by the English Touring Opera, and the premiere of her violin concerto for Julian Rachlin and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. The Concertgebouw will perform her Figaro Gets a Divorce suite under Maxim Emelyanychev.
