Elena Bechter is initiator, manager and artistic co-director of the Company ART // 2020 and the Festspiele Bregenzerwald, the festival BeClose as well as project leader of the Laboratorium für neues Musiktheater. As a singer, performer and dramaturg, she moves between traditional and contemporary music theatre, chamber music, experimental dance and movement theatre as well as multidisciplinary performance art and has already brought several of her own works onto the stage. She is a student and stipend receiver of TONALi as well as an award winner of the international singing competition of the Accademia Belcanto in Graz. Engagements have brought her to the Elbphilharmonie, the Theater der Welt Chemnitz, the Theater Brandenburg a. d. Havel and the International Chamber Festival in Italy, among others. Since 2020 she has been a member of the Paper Tiger Collective.
