Description
In the closing concert of his fellowship, Giorgi Gigashvili sits down at the piano in its classical setting. With music by Schnittke and his Georgian compatriot Kancheli, he brings two melancholic worldviews together – rebellious and forceful, Schnittke’s Leningrad work; quiet and resigned, Kancheli’s sounds. Expectations are high as to how his own new composition will respond to this.
