Information About Visiting the Concert in Times of Corona

In order to be able to guarantee the protection and safety of all guests, artists and employees, the following rules must be observed for concert attendance at the Beethoven Festival Bonn 2021.

Security and Hygiene Concept

The Beethoven Festival Bonn will be held in compliance with the distance and hygiene regulations in force at the time of each event. A hygiene concept approved by the responsible authority will be applied at each venue, offering our audience the greatest possible protection. As the pandemic is a dynamic event, this concept is constantly adapted to the latest legal requirements and the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute.

Please inform yourself again about the applicable rules and changes shortly before your concert visit via our social media channels, via our homepage or via e-mail at

Please follow the instructions of our evening staff and pay attention to the provided notices in the respective venue on site.

Renouncement of Contact Tracing
As of Aug. 20, 2021, the new Corona Protection Ordinance of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia will apply, which provides for far-reaching relaxations. Among other things, contact data collection of concertgoers will no longer be mandatory as of Aug. 20. The Beethovenfest will therefore immediately refrain from collecting contact data and delete all data it has already received.

Space Availability, Concert Breaks and Post Admission
All venue plans are laid out in a checkerboard pattern. A seat always alternates with a blocked seat. Deviations in seating may occur due to different conditions of the individual venues.

Admission after the start of a concert is only possible during the (seating) breaks.

Important requirements for attending the concert

Arrive at the concert on time!
We strongly recommend all festival visitors to allow more time for the registration process. Please have all required documents ready at the entrance. For this purpose, you will find a checklist at the end of this leaflet.

House and Cash Register Opening
The box office and the hall doors open at the venues 1 hour before the concert starts.
We ask you to take your seats early.

Vaccinated, Recovered, Tested?
The prerequisite for attending the concert is that you do not show any symptoms indicating infection with the coronavirus and that you have been fully vaccinated (from day 15 after 2nd vaccination with a vaccine approved in the EU) or have recovered (proof of a positive PCR test, at least 28 days/ at most 6 months ago) or can show a negative PCR or antigen rapid test, so-called "citizen test" (valid 48h after test). Information and addresses of local test centers can be found at and if required.

Mandatory Wearing of Masks and Minimum Distance
At all events of the Beethoven Festival 2021 - at the entrance, at the registration, at the box office as well as on all other ways before and in the respective venue - the obligation to wear a medical mask (surgical mask or FFP2 mask) applies. Exceptions, e.g. in the form of certificates, cannot be accepted.
For your protection and for the protection of all those present, please ensure that the minimum distance of 1.5 m is observed.

Catering and Wardrobe
There will be a concert break at many concerts in the World Conference Center Bonn (exceptions possible). At the same time, it is possible to pre-order drinks during the interval immediately before the concert. Please use the sales counters located in front of the hall entrances in the foyer. There you can pre-order drinks and pay directly. You will be assigned a bar table where the drinks will be provided at the break according to your order. Space is limited, so please register well in advance.

Due to Corona, there are no wardrobes available this year. Therefore, please carry only the most essential items with you to the concert and take jackets and coats with you to your seat.

The following items cannot be taken into the concert hall:
- Backpacks and bags that exceed the DIN A4 format,
- bulky, pointed and sharp objects,
- objects that are subject to the German Gun Control Law
- beverage bottles and other liquid containers
- umbrellas which, when folded, exceed a total length of 30 cm.

Concert Introductions
Due to the traceability of contacts, we cannot offer concert introductions this year. To prepare and get you in the mood for your concert visit, we will prepare digital offers for you instead: You will find all program booklets in advance as PDF files as well as individual concert introductions as podcasts or videos on our homepage under the respective event.

Line-up or Program Changes
Due to the dynamics inherent in the pandemic situation, short-notice reshuffling or program changes may occur under certain circumstances. The exchange of a ticket or refund of the ticket price is excluded in these cases.
