Beethovenfest Bonn is delighted to present two new ticketing models in 2024 to enable more people to attend the festival, in line with the festival motto »Together«.
In addition to the »Pay what you can« offer, which invites you to the Democracy Music Festival on October 3, three Beethovenfest concerts will for the first time offer so-called »sponsorship tickets«, which will be passed on to people in need. The idea for this goes back to an initiative by Nils Mönkemeyer, who had already entered into a corresponding cooperation with the Caritas Bonn as part of his chamber music festival Klassik für Alle. As an artist at this year’s festival, he was keen to continue this offer for his own and other concerts at the festival.
The idea of the sponsorship ticket is about participation, togetherness and connection through the concert experience without borders of origin and language. It introduces people to music who would otherwise have no access to classical concerts. Homeless people, people suffering from addiction, mentally ill people or residents of old people’s homes who are dependent on social welfare are thus able to experience these concerts. The concertgoers receive their tickets before the festival and can plan their concert visit in peace like everyone else. This discreet approach means that they are not stigmatized and can be part of the concert experience with a great sense of well-being.
The price of a sponsorship ticket is €25, which is deliberately lower than the price of the tickets on offer. In this way, Beethovenfest Bonn would like to contribute to making this offer possible. If you would like to support us with this idea as well as giving a gift to the recipients of the sponsorship tickets, we would be delighted if you would increase the ticket price – in line with the »pay what you can« model.
Thank you – also on behalf of the ticket recipients – for your support!
