Léa Trommenschlager

Léa Trommenschlager, born 1986 in France, started her studies in singing with Henrik Siffert at the Strasbourg conservatory and continued with Norma Sharp at the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule in Berlin. 

As a member of the Académie Eruopéenne de Musique of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, she was chosen to perform there in the summer of 2011 and was awarded with the academy’s prize. 

Léa Trommenschlager is active in many different genres, such as opera, concert, Lied as well as musical and she has performed on several stages, including the HAU Theater Berlin, Tischlerei der Deutschen Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Théâtre de l’Athénée in Paris, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, opera of Toulon, Metz and Algier, ZKM Karlsruhe, Opéra de Versailles, Opéra Comique and Southbank Center in London. 

As a Lied interpreter, she regularly cooperates with the pianist Alphonse Cemin. She was also heard at the Schauspiel Stuttgart in a production of ‘Doppelgänger’ by David Marton and at the Festvial d’Aix-en-Provence with the Vier Letzte Lieder by R. Strauss conducted by Alain Altinoglu. 

She is a member of the ensemble Le Balcon under direction of Maxime Pascal and most recently plays the mother role in Karlheinz Stockhausen’s ‘Donnerstag aus Licht’ in Paris and London and is preparing the next role of the cycle. 

Current projects of the singer for the coming season are concerts and productions in Paris, Strasbourg, Berlin, Mexico, Versailles, Milan, Freiburg, Nancy and Dresden.
