Giovanni Bellucci

Giovanni Bellucci is considered one of the most influential pianists of our time. His recording of Franz Liszt’s Paraphrases on Verdi and Bellini operas was included in Diapason magazine’s selection of the all-time Top Ten Liszt recordings in history. All his other CDs have also been awarded prizes by specialized publications.

Bellucci has been invited to perform at the most famous concert halls in the world: among them the Hollywood Bowl, which was his American debut in front of a crowd of 18,000, the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, Teatro alla Scala, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Herkulessaal in Munich, Konzerthaus Berlin, Washington Performing Arts Society and Sydney Opera House. In addition, he has made guest appearances at festivals such as the Prague Spring Festival, La Roque d’Anthéron, Festival Chopin de Nohant, Festival Michelangeli in Brescia and Bergame, Wagner Festival in Geneva.

Bellucci performs as soloist with orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, dem Sydney Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, Orchestra Sinfonica dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestre National de Belgique, der Sinfonia Varsovia, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Czech Chamber Philharmonic and Zürcher Kammerorchester.

A pianist with an immense repertoire, Giovanni Bellucci performed in concert, among others, the complete works for piano and orchestra by Busoni, the 9 Beethoven Symphonies transcribed by Liszt, the 32 Piano Sonatas and the 5 Concertos for piano and orchestra by Beethoven, the ‘Choral Fantasy’ and the ‘Triple Concerto’ by Beethoven, Liszt's 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies, the complete chamber concertos of Alkan and Berlioz's complete symphonic works in Liszt's piano transcription, the complete works for piano and orchestra by Chopin and Liszt.
