Nocturne weekend

The intimate and gentle genres of chamber music are frequently inspired by lunar imagery, by that ambivalent pleasure-pain kindled in us by moonlight. Romances, serenades, ‘Clair de lune’, ‘Kleine Nachtmusik’, moonlight serenades and the like: our artists have assembled a weekend of silvery, shimmering chamber music. Renaissance madrigals rub shoulders with virtuoso baroque recorder music, romantic horn calls and lieder with contemporary quartets and choral music.
