Ten years lie between the last joint project and the first voice memos, from which »Companion Songs« emerged in 2020. The duo is connected by a long friendship from their teenage days, their first guitar band and home recordings in the rehearsal cellar. Even if their musical paths were independent for a while after that: the friendship remained and new projects, concerts and, of course, favourite albums were shared along the way. When the world went down in 2020, Marco Mlynek recorded the first sketches – logbook entries without a project goal. Songs as companions. First thought, best thought. »During that time I kept sharing sketches with Max without a plan in mind. Until he said, we ›have‹ to do something with this. So we started recording demos at a distance. When the first drum takes came in the mail, everything clicked and the first EP was on its way.«

In May 2023, they released their debut album »Paper Parachute«, an ongoing collection of instrumentals and songs with simple melodies and repetition at their core. Honest music, infused with energetic bursts, moving lightly between insistent singalongs and states of deep calm.
