Learning to host from Saman Haddad
Beethovenfest Bonn is a music festival and organiser of almost 80 events during the festival period in September. It is evident that it deals with the organisation of concerts, workshops, educational projects and discourse events, for which tickets can usually be purchased. But how can the festival be viewed from a different perspective as a host organisation? How can we succeed in inviting people to celebrate the festival with us, to get to know Beethoven’s music in a wide variety of contexts and to get to know world-famous as well as exciting and aspiring young artists and their interpretations? What does it take for people to come together and interact with each other? The Beethovenfest programme and education team will explore these and other questions together with the Inside Artists Saman Haddad, Franziska Ritter and Christian Siegmund. What is special about this constellation is that three Inside Artists are assigned to the programme team. They all bring different perspectives on the topic of hosting. In the case of Saman Haddad, this hospitality falls on particularly fertile ground thanks to his extensive network in the Bonn cultural scene and unusual event formats.
